Gentle Yoga

Terry Snow

I began my Yoga practice in 2002 in a gym. I loved how the movement and breath work made me feel – it felt like a whole new world was opening up for me. Knowing that Yoga was so much more then what I was experiencing in the gym I looked for a studio. When I came to Mt. Yoga and took classes and workshops from so many talented and special teachers I knew I had found my Yoga Home.
I took the step in 2016 to go through teacher training at Mt. Yoga – I loved every minute of the training. Being a teacher here now among so many great teachers is a privilege I appreciate so very much. I am committed to the practice – to continue to grow and to teach.

Veronique Cometti

I was born in the French part of Switzerland, but lived most of my life in Milan, Italy where I attended the Scala Theater for four years with the desire of becoming a professional dancer. When I got married, I ended up moving with my husband to the US and, although I have always loved to dance, became passionate about yoga.
I have been practicing yoga since 2009 and completed my teacher training at Mt. Yoga in February of 2017.
My main teacher has been Helena Bray who teaches Yogazander at Mt. Yoga.
I have also taken several workshops with different teachers because
I believe strongly yoga is a never ending learning experience.
In the meantime, I have enjoyed the opportunity to assist Helena in yoga classes for seniors at both the Poway Senior Center and the Scripp's Ranch Library. In May 2017 I completed my Silver Age Yoga Certification program through SAYCO (Silver Age Yoga Community Outreach).
On a personal level, practicing yoga has helped me tremendously in my life.
As a stay at home mom of two very active boys, I have had the privilege to spend much time raising them. Yoga has helped me in the different challenging stages of
their growth. I have learned to be more patient and to love them unconditionally and I am appreciative and grateful to give back through my own teaching.
Gentle Yoga is a class that is suitable for all levels of ability and experience. In this class you will practice foundational yoga postures that will help you lengthen and strengthen your entire body. In addition to body movement, classes will include breathing exercises and opportunities for peaceful reflection. This class is paced to match the energy of the classroom and instructors will help you explore ways of relaxing and re-energizing through each pose. Whether you're a new student, or a seasoned yoga practitioner, this class will inspire all!
