Dubbed, “instant energy” it is no wonder why Jeff Jurkowitz’s Kundalini classes have been noted as the Soul Cycle of Kundalini. That energy is what lights up the classroom and leads his students to greater fulfillment. Unlike many other types of yoga, Kundalini isn’t about focusing on the perfect pose rather, focusing on the imperfections and breathing through them. Jeff is able to hold the space for his students where true transformation can begin.
Every class is guaranteed to bring you some type of gift but the one gift that keeps on giving in Kundalini is the gift of happiness. As Elle Woods of Legally Blonde once said, “Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don’t kill their husbands. They just don’t”.
Before moving to Encinitas, Jeff ran his own Yoga studio in Scottsdale, Arizona. He began practicing Kundalini in 2004 and became a Kundalini Yoga Teacher in 2015. He is a graduate of Arizona State University. He holds a bachelors degree in Communication and a Masters Degree in Education. He loves his Mom, two brothers, and sister beyond words, but the gal that steals his heart is his four-legged best friend Pumpkin! You can catch them down at Del Mar Dog beach on the weekends or Lofty coffee in Encinitas having a few laughs and meeting new friends!
Jeff instructs the following:
Kundalini Yoga is one of the most ancient forms of yoga. Each class is constituted of yogic breathing techniques, physical kriyas (definite exercises), sacred chants and ancient meditations. This technology works together within the body to increase awareness and life force by guiding the, often dormant, Kundalini energy up the spine. Practitioners can expect heightened feelings of euphoria, increased attunement, a release of anxiety or stress and many other physical benefits including the strengthening of the immune and nervous system, detoxification, improving digestion, increasing mental clarity and alertness, and experiencing overall well being.
